RE: Information about community Poster
Dear Parents,
I have changed the due date for the community poster project
to Thursday October 25th. Here are some instructions and details
which I hope you find helpful:
1-
During the past month students were introduced
to the concept of community. We discussed the different possible communities we
belong to: Abraar Community, Kanata Community, Egyptian, Pakistani, and Palestinian
communities.
2-
Your child is to pick a community he/she belongs
to and draw it. We drew our neighborhood community before in class. They may
choose to do that again.
3-
They should write some information about the
attributes that make a community called one. Example: Abraar community.
Teachers, Students, Staff, and Parents all belong to Abraar Community. Specific clothing, foods, activities.. etc all
are considered attributes of a community.
4-
Four Things that can be found in a community:
a.
Shared location
b.
Community helpers
c.
Shared History
d.
Shared Interest
