Dear parents,  Asalamu Alikum

We completed the unit about "The fall and The Spring" . The students learned some vocabulary about nature and weather.    They also learned the names of the colors, we did many drills and activities related to the lesson.   Now, we will begin a new lesson about (The Zoo ) the students will learn the name of the animals in Arabic using pictures and flash cards.   They will be making a booklet on animals.

News Reporter Sched Updated

AssalamuAlykom Parents, 

Last term I had asked some students to present the news on different occasions, thus making them familiar with the concept. This term we have agreed that each week we will have two students presenting segments of the news. 

News reporters shall present for 3-5 minutes on anything that happened. They can read it in the newspaper, look it up on the internet, watch it on TV or even listen to it on the radio. I ask you to kindly pick age appropriate news with them (no crime, violence ..etc). It can be local or international news (I will explain to them the difference). They do not have to have anything written, although writing notes will help them in their presentation, and will encourage them to be 'note takers'.

Family Trip Assignment Directions

Due Tuesday April 30^th

 

1.     Choose a picture from a family trip you remember

2.     Print that picture and stick it on a paper

3.     Write 3 paragraphs about the trip

4.     Include your feelings: Happiness, excitement, boredom …etc

5.     Proofread to make sure there are no spelling mistakes

6.     Edit any sentences that have grammatical errors

7.     Make sure your handwriting is clear and neat

8.     Prepare a 5 min presentation about your assignment

Quran Updates

Quran: Update from Tr. Samia

Alhamdullah we have just had a test on all of Surat Al.Mutafefin. This test was on Tajweed rules, reading rules and memorization of the whole surah. I sent a Quran rubric of this test with your child, please sign it .
