Assalamu Alaikum
Today we had a wonderful day alhamdulilah!
Spelling: Students started their language lesson with a daily language review where they did some punctuation, identifying letter sounds, and rhyming.
Students wrote their spelling quiz, and the bonus words were matter, condensation, and evaporation.
We did lesson 25, VOWELS WITH R.
Students worked in groups to do an activity from their spelling books where they had to make a poster to persuade people to buy the largest pizza from their shop!
Math: We started to learn how to subtract with regrouping. We watched a video, and read a poem to help us remember the rule when subtracting with regrouping. Students took turns to solve subtraction problems on the board. Please refer to this poem whenever your child practices subtraction with regrouping at home.
Science: Today each student made his/her own Science vocabulary booklet where they wrote the definitions of matter, mixture, dissolve, solution, evaporation and condensation, melting, and freezing.
Quran Homework: Practice Surah Al-Inshiqaq Ayah 22 to 25.

Note:
- Insha Allah we will have a daily language and math review everyday where students spend 5 minutes at the beginning of the language and math lessons answering a few questions about concepts we learned in math and language.
- I want our students to be more responsible about their learning. I am finding that some students are depending on the blog when it comes to homework or the spelling list words, so today we agreed in class that each student is responsible to write the HW in the agenda, and the spelling book should be taken home on Fridays to study list words. Homework will not always be posted on the blog. Let's work together to make our students responsible learners insha Allah. Remind your child to always check his/her agenda.
Have a wonderful evening!
