Classwork

Assalamu Alaikum

Dear Parents,

Today we had a wonderful day alhamdulilah!

Math: Grade 2A joined us, and we did some adding with regrouping on our whiteboards. Students also solved word problems on their whiteboards where they added with regrouping. The also paired up and came up with their own word problems.

Language: On Tuesday, we read the story of Prophet Adam's sons. Today, students made connections to the story and wrote about a time when they did something wrong to their sibling and then felt sorry after that.

Yesterday, students had fun doing a contraction surgery where they wore gloves and masks to make contractions using index cards and bandages (e.g. she will = she'll

Social Studies: We are learning about communities. Students learned about what  is meant by services and goods.
Today we learned about resources and how we have capital, human and natural resources. Students completed a worksheet where they drew pictures under each resource.

Islamic Studies: We finished our unit on Seerah, and on Tuesday we read about Prophet Adam's sons.

Quran: Review Surah Al-Inshiqaq from Ayah 16 to 21.

Reminders: InshaAllah students will take their homework packs tomorrow.

A Message From Tr. Nancy:
Dear Parents,
Assalamu Alaikum

I hope this message finds you well and in good health.
I have noticed that a few books have come back to the library "repaired." I would kindly request that parents do not attempt to repair the damaged books, because I have special material that I use to repair the damaged books. However, informing me of the damage would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. Jazakum Allahu Khairan.
Have a wonderful day, inshaAllah.

Sincerely,
Nancy-Ann Brethour
