Classwork and Homework

Dear Parents

As-salamu-Alaikum,

Today we had a great day alhamdulilah!

Social Studies: Students sat on the carpet and we looked at different types of maps. They went back to their places and completed a map worksheet where they read the map and answered questions about it.

Language: Students sat on the carpet and sister Hellay  read "I Wanna Iguana". They went back to their places and completed a comprehension quiz about the story.

Math: Students were reminded of yesterday's lesson about prediction. They took turns to give examples of  likely, unlikely, possible, impossible, and certain. Then they completed page 120 and 123 in their math books where they tossed a two-coloured counter 15 times and recorded the results in a tally chart and bar graph.

Science: We started to learn about reptiles and amphibians. We listened to a book on razkids "Slithery and Slimy" (level k) where we learned about the difference between reptiles and amphibians. We did the quiz as a class. Students are encouraged to read  the book again on Razkids for review,

Gym: We played Hockey and Frisbee.

Islamic Studies: We are learning about prayer. Today we reviewed Adhaan and Iqaama and the duaa we say after Adaan.
