Dear Parents,
Today we had a wonderful day alhamdulilah!
Language: Today, the students reviewed verbs. They completed worksheets in which they circled verbs in the sentences on the sheet.
Math: Students are learning about temperature and how to read a thermometer. They completed some worksheets on this topic.
Science: Students learned about life cycles. I read them a book called "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" and talked about the life cycle of the butterfly. They also got a chance to see glass slides (from the Science lab) which are related to the life cycle of different creatures in groups.
Arts: Students did abstract artwork based on the painting of Piet Mondrian. I showed them samples of the painting of Piet Mondrian for inspiration and understanding of his art. Students did a wonderful job using lines and primary colours, alhamdulillah.
Homework:
- Math home connection page 66 due Monday.
- Homework package due Wednesday.
Reminders:
- Students have a spelling quiz: gum, pot, dust, frog, must, sock, pup, shot, soft, tug + fourth, fifth, sixth) on Monday Oct 20th, insha-Allah.
