Dear Parents,
Spelling: Students wrote their spelling quiz. They learned the new list words (short vowel sound e). They answered questions about the new list words in their spelling books.
Writing: Students sat on the carpet and we talked about honesty, what it means to be honest, why it is important to be honest, the consequences of being dishonest...etc. Students went back to their places and wrote about a time when they were honest and how it felt.
Math: Students got to see the changes in the thermometer from hot to cold water.
Science: We learned about the life cycle of a frog and we compared it to the life cycle of a butterfly using a Venn diagram.
Gym; We played Dodge Ball.
Islamic Studies;We started to learn about Eid around the World.Students are learning how Muslims from other Muslim countries around the world celebrate Eid.
Homework
- Draw the life cycle of any animal due Friday,October 24,2014.
Reminder:
- Students have a Math quiz on Friday 10/24/2014 (calendar and temperature)
- Tr. Sahar's students have an Arabic quiz this Thursday 10/23/2014 on pages 4 to 11.
