Classwork and Homework

Assalamu Alaikum

Dear Parents,

Today we had a wonderful day alhumdulilah!

Language: Students worked on the first draft of their autobiographies today. Insha' Allah we will decorate our cereal boxes in our art lesson tomorrow.

Math: We have been learning about 3D shapes. We made a 3D
shape chart as a class where we wrote the number of edges, faces, and vertices of each solid shape. Students also learned about solids that roll, slide and stack. They completed page 137 on Wednesday.

Today, students did problem solving on their own by making 3D skeletons of different 3D shapes using clay, and popsicle sticks. Then, they completed page 147 where they described their skeleton. They did an excellent job, Masha-Allah.

Students also explored 3D manipulatives by constructing different structures out of them.

Homework: Math book pages 148 and 149 (Use the clay and sticks given)

Reminders: Bring a healthy snack for our picnic tomorrow.

Have a great evening insha-Allah!
