Class Updates, Quran Homework and Reminders!

Assalamu Alaikum,

We had a wonderful day today and yesterday alhamdulilah!

Spelling: Yesterday, students wrote their review spelling quiz on lessons 7 to 11. We also completed lesson 13 about consonant blends r and l in our spelling books.

Language: We reviewed compound sentences, and  then students completed a worksheet where they sorted simple and compound sentences independently.

Math: We started our Monday by learning how to create and read pictographs. Students wrote down the meaning  and purpose of pictographs in their math journals. Today, students collected data about the eye color of their classmates and then each team made a pictograph based on the data. They did a great job Masha Allah!

Islamic Studies: We played a Wudu game! Today students from each group came up, and took turns to show the steps of wudu, in order, and collected points.

Health: We learned that there is no such thing as good food and bad food, but rather we call it "EVERYDAY FOOD" and SOMETIMES FOOD". We also learned about Balanced DIETS. Students worked in groups to cutout pictures of different foods from flyers and paste them in right the category (everyday or sometimes), and they made a balanced  snack. Then each group presented their work in front of the class.  Masha'Allah they all did a fabulous job!
