Assalamu Alaikum,
We had a wonderful day today Alhamdulilah!
Spelling:We completed lesson 14 in our spelling books where we learned consonant blends with "S".
Language:Students learned "Author's Purpose!" It means an author writes for three purposes which is as easy as PIE. (P- to persuade, I- to inform, E- to entertain). We did different activities to understand author's purpose as a class and in pairs. Ask your child when he/she reads a book about author's purpose. :)
Math: Today, students wrote a quiz on bar graphs and pictographs.
Science: Students are doing a great job in presenting their bird/insect projects. We also presented our projects in library class andTr. Nancy gave us some great feedback! We got to learn interesting facts about owls, snowy owls, fleas, eagle, hawk, ostrich, and Canadian Geese to name a few!

Library: Students checked out books from the school library.
Islamic Studies:We read a story called "Hamza Learns Wudu" and reviewed how to make wudu and the importance of conserving water.We also completed our Wudu lap books Alhumdulilah! Here are some pictures:
Gym: We had a great time playing "Dodgeball" and "Freeze Tag" in our gym class.
