Assalamu Alaikum,
Today we had a great day Alhamdulilah!
Reading: Students maintained stamina for 25 minutes while reading to self. I worked with students on the DRA. Today while students were reading they did a verb hunt where each student looked for verbs(action words) in his/her book.
Spelling: Students did their spelling quiz on lesson 7 today. The bonus was to write 2 simple sentences by using any two of the list words and underline a noun and a verb in those sentences.
Math: Today we learned that in addition to number lines, we can skip count on a hundreds chart. Students used different coloured crayons to show skip counting pattern by 2s and 5s on a hundreds chart.worksheet.
Islamic Studies: We learned the story of the sons of Prophet Adam (SAW), and we learned that there is good jealousy and bad jealousy. Students gave examples of good jealousy, and bad jealousy. We also read a book about Qabil and Habel called "The Two Brothers".
Important Reminder:
- We are going on a field trip on Nov 4th, 2015 instead of Nov 10th. Please send in the field trip form by tomorrow and also indicate your availability if you can volunteer for the field trip. Jazakum Allahu Khairun for your cooperation and understanding in this regard!
