Today's Classwork

Assalamu Alaikum,

Today we had a wonderful day Alhamdulilah!

Reading: Students maintained stamina for 25 minutes while reading to self. I worked with students on the DRA.

Spelling: Students did their spelling quiz on lesson 8 today. The bonus was to write as many verbs as they can in 1 minute!:)

Math:  Along with number lines, hundreds charts, drawings, and tally marks, we learned how to count whole numbers, or find tens and ones on ten frames. Students finished a worksheet where they had to count two digit numbers on ten frames and also wrote how many tens and ones by looking at the ten frame of the given numbers. Once finished they did another worksheet in their journals where they used rockets as manipulatives for their ten frames. They did an excellent job, mashaAllah!

Character Assembly:Today we attended a Character  Assembly on Cleanliness. The grade 3 students did a great job in their presentation on Cleanliness Masha Allah!

Social Studies:We showed what we know about continents and oceans!  In their teams, students worked to put together the map of the world with correct positions of continents and oceans on the map. They did a great job Masha Allah!

Estimation Station Activity:

Starting today, two students from our class will be taking an estimation jar home with a parent letter, twice a week. The idea is teach students to make logical, mathematical estimates in a fun way!

Homework:
  • Please sign and return your child's spelling notebook tomorrow,
  • Practice Surah Al-Ghashiyah Ayah 17-21.

Have a great evening!
